THE SUNDAY TIMES AND NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER 'I LOVE it . . . I can't remember the last time I read a book that was so fun' DOLLY ALDERTON _________________ They were the new icons of rock and roll, fated to burn bright and not fade away. But on 12 July 1979, it all came crashing down.

There was Daisy, rock and roll force of nature, brilliant songwriter and unapologetic drug addict, the half-feral child who rose to superstardom. There was Camila, the frontman's wife, too strong-willed to let the band implode - and all too aware of the electric connection between her husband and Daisy. There was Karen, ice-cool keyboardist, a ferociously independent woman in a world that wasn't ready for her.

And there were the men surrounding them: the feuding, egotistical Dunne brothers, the angry guitarist chafing on the sidelines, the drummer binge-drinking on his boat, the bassist trying to start a family amid a hedonistic world tour. They were creative minds striking sparks from each other, ready to go up in flames. It's never just about the music... _________________ 'Brace for 2019's first pop-culture sensation . . . we're not exaggerating . . . new obsession, incoming' TELEGRAPH 'Utterly believable...fantastically enjoyable' THE TIMES 'Pitch perfect' SUNDAY TIMES 'Reads like an addictive Netflix documentary meets A Star Is Born - despite being utterly fictional.

It's also a call-to-arms that when you find your niche, don't doubt, embrace it.' EMERALD STREET 'The verdict: Daisy Jones steals the limelight... A zeitgeist book for 2019' STYLIST 'Well observed, sensitively told . . . a great read.' WILL GOMPERTZ, BBC 'A tremendously engaging, and completely believable tale of rock and roll excess... inventive, persuasive and completely satisfying.' DYLAN JONES 'I spent a lost weekend in this book. Daisy Jones is an instant icon.' ERIN KELLY 'DAISY JONES & THE SIX is a transporting novel - at once a love story, a glimpse into the combustible inner workings of a rock-and-roll band, and a pitch-perfect recreation of the music scene of the Fleetwood Mac era.

You'll never want it to end.' CECILIA AHERN 'Once in a blue moon you get to discover a book you end up pressing upon many other people to read. Taylor Jenkins Reid has got every nuance, every detail exact and right. I loved every word.' PAUL REES 'So brilliantly written I thought all the characters were real . . .

I couldn't put it down' EDITH BOWMAN 'Explosive . . . a gorgeous novel and a ravishing read.' CHARLOTTE HEATHCOTE, SUNDAY EXPRESS 'Sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll? You bet, but it's Daisy's refusal to become a mere muse that powers this buzzy music-industry romance.' HEPHZIBAH ANDERSON, MAIL ON SUNDAY 'The characters leap off the page, seducing you with their dramas, and making you wish the band was real.' HEAT 'The heady haze of the 70s music scene, and a perfectly flawed Daisy, combine to create a fresh, rock n roll read. I loved it.' ALI LAND, author of Good Me Bad Me

I can honestly say, without a doubt, that this is one of the *best books I’ve ever read. I didn’t think I was going to like it at all, much less fall in love with the book. The amount of love I have for Taylor Jenkins Reid, and the characters in this book is unreal. There honestly wasn’t one thing that I didn’t love about this. The way that Billy talked about Camila.. it made my heart melt into a thousand tiny pieces. I truly believe that Billy and Daisy were star-crossed lovers. They weren’t ever meant to be together, but I do think that they were in another lifetime. I definitely think that Billy and Camila were soulmates. There’s no doubt in my mind of that. I loved Daisy and Simone’s friendship. It reminded me of a friendship that I have with someone, and I’d never trade it for the world. I truly loved every part of this book, and I am so glad I read it. Overall, I give this book 5/5 stars, a spot on the Hall of Fame* shelf, but I don’t think I’ll ever read it again. It would hurt too much.

I really enjoyed the interview style that this book was told in. Taylor Jenkins Reid seems to find a unique way of writing her books that really brings a new and fun element to the story. The characters in this book are so unlikable most of the time and yet you are so sucked in and need to know everything about them and what happens next. Our main character Daisy is an asshole musician but you also have to love the way she stands up for herself and doesn’t take any shit from anyone. She doesn’t do anything for other people, everything she does is because it’s what she wants to do. She’s in a male dominated industry but won’t let anyone silence her or tell her what to do and that while at times that gets problematic it’s also very powerful. Billy was the most unlikable character he really was such an asshole from cheating on his pregnant wife they day after they got married to missing the birth of his daughter and developing a relationship with daisy and falling in love with her even after everything Camila forgave him for (girly is a saint fr) to how he is constantly changing all the bands stuff after they leave the studio and not letting them have any say at all or even letting them know when something is going to be changing. And yet this book was incredible and unput downable I would have finished it in one night if I didn’t have to get up early as it is I already stayed ip until 1 am listening to it. The audio was incredible and was narrated with a full cast which was incredible 👨🏽‍🍳💋 Highly recommend. The end truly had me sobbing and the world did not deserve Camillia Dunne.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Favorite excerpt: Passion is… it’s fire. And fire is great, man. But we’re made of water. Water is how we keep living. Water is what we need to survive. My family was my water. I picked water. I’ll pick water every time. And I wanted Daisy to find her water. Because I couldn’t be it. 💭 My Thoughts At first, I was unsure how I would feel about this book. I had attempted it in the past with it failing to keep my attention. The combination of reading and listening really pulled me into it this time. In the beginning, you can be a bit unsure because it’s written interview style; not a writing composition I typically read; but the narrators really pull you in with their voice acting, especially Daisy’s narrator. Her narrator has such a sultry, calming voice that you would expect from a whimsical individual like Daisy. While Daisy was intriguing and relatable at times, I found Billy’s story to be far more inspiring and enjoyable. His character goes through so many changes throughout this story-made-interview. It has you hating him, rooting for him, loving him, crying for him. His depth and growth resonated with me so deeply. I love how guttural and real his story felt. To me, it would be far too easy to fall into this fantasy world of music, drugs, and passion but he made a promise to the love of his life and his family. He struggled along the way but he chose to do right by that in the end and I have so much respect for that. For his redemption. Other than Daisy and Billy, the entire cast was well written and strengthened the other characters in ways that brought the story together. Even though Eddie was a twat, you have to have a character that brings some variety to the story and he gives you a different perspective since he wasn’t a fan of Billy. Totally recommend this with the audio! Don’t pass it up. ⚠️ Trigger Warnings Graphic: Drug abuse, Drug use, Addiction Moderate: Abortion, Alcoholism, Toxic relationship Minor: Death, Death of parent, Pregnancy 🌶️ Spice There is spice that you would expect in a book about rock ‘n roll and drugs, but it is an entirely vague presence in this story.

I really enjoyed listening to the audio book, having different voices for each person was so nice! It was definitely an interesting book, my favourite character was Camila! I loved the twist at the end! (Not the sad one but that’s life)

Damn, this was really good. So hard to put down… This statement is also a first for me but I wish I had read this before watching the show. That end would have hit so much harder - I’m still teary but damn... I loved how much more detail you got in this with the bands journey vs the show - the show was amazing but this really was SO well done and had so much more information the show was lacking. The audio for this was TOP NOTCH, I loved the interview style and large cast, it was a really interesting way to tell a story of the rock and roll times in a humanized way. I will be reading more from this author.

Daisy is an up-and-coming musician that takes no shit and doesn't care what others think. She unapologetically herself and while that can rub others the wrong way, she doesn't change. Billy is another up-and-coming musician, in a band with his brother. While he is a good musician, he is also an asshole. Billy and Daisy do not get along and constantly butt heads when they are supposed to writing and performing together until they finally put their differences aside. They realize that they can work together to make music that means something. I really enjoyed this book, even with it being something very different from what I normally reach for. I wasn't sure what to expect when I started reading it, but was quickly pulled in. I loved how it was written in an interview style. I felt that there was so much going on and I just kept wanting more and more as the story continued.
