Y'ALL. I'm genuinely in shock over how much I loved this damn book. I love Luke and Emmy so much. I think they've healed a part of my soul that I didn't know was missing. I read this strictly for a readathon prompt (that's a lie I would've read it eventually anyway 💀), and I'm so glad I did. I don't think I've ever seen a couple better suited for each other. I'm genuinely so excited for the other books in this series, but I don't think they'll top this one. I give this book 5/5 stars and a spot on the Hall of Fame shelf.

I had the most fun reading this book. I loved the cast of characters and there were so many funny moments that had me giggling. I can’t wait to read all the rest of them.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Favorite line: “You’re Clementine fuckin’ Ryder. Sugar, you deserve to go out on your own terms. Just because you got dusted, doesn’t mean you’re done.” 💭My thoughts This was really cute, a perfect book to pull you out of a slump. It's an easy-going read with feet-kicking moments, found family, childhood friends, and no 3rd act breakup. ⚠️Trigger warnings Graphic: Sexual content, Panic attacks/disorders, Injury/Injury detail Moderate: Death of parent, Violence, Blood Minor: Abandonment, Alcoholism, Alcohol 🌶️Spice The spice didn't get as high of a rating from me because it pulled me out of the moment a couple times. This wasn't bad, very easy to follow and a cutesy simple story. I am not usually a fan of any kind of media with westerns or wild west genres, but this was an easy read and more "small town" vibes. It also had some funny moments and banter. I would probably read more from this author, but nothing really stands out as being super unique or one of a kind as for a romcom. The characters were a little one dimensional and the plot pretty predictable, but I do enjoy a "forbidden" brothers best friend rom. 🌶️ 3/5 There's some spice, it's ok, nothing too crazy. Some of the verbiage was a little cringy, I really think this would have been better as a duet and not "dual" audio - the narrators struggled to make the dialog come off as hot as I think they meant it to...

Don't really have much to say about this one. It just didn't hit for me. The chemistry felt forced and was too much of an insta-love for two characters who have known each other their whole lives.

this was a solid, lighthearted (and a little spicy) romance. having it set in Wyoming on a ranch really made it feel fresh, too, but that may be because I don't read many western/cowboy romances. the main characters were decent, the romance was sweet, and the overall cast/setting were done well to have a strong start for future installments in the series. it definitely wasn't perfect, though: the main characters feel a bit one-dimensional, there are a few plot inconsistencies, it spends a little too much time on who Luke was as a teen rather than who he is as an adult. but overall, it was a fast and enjoyable read (I finished it in pretty much one sitting). can't wait to jump into book 2.
