I have ... thoughts. While I enjoyed this one, I didn't enjoy it as much as I enjoyed Done and Dusted. There was just something about that book that gave me all of the happy emotions and I loved it. With this one, however, I just felt like something was lacking. It just wasn't as .... fulfilling (?) as the first one was, and that's what disappointed me the most. Also, the third act conflict felt like it could've been left out completely and the book would've been amazing. So, overall, I give this book 4/5 stars.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Favorite line: “You’re the moon and I’m the tides. You pull me in without even trying, and I come to you willingly. I always will.” 💭 My thoughts Another cute ass cowboy romance under my belt. I think I enjoyed this one more than the first one as I found the MC's more relatable. I respect the hell out of the author for bringing light to mental illness. So refreshing to see. ⚠️ Trigger warnings Graphic: Sexual content, Mental illness, Toxic relationship Moderate: Emotional abuse, Death of parent, Abandonment Minor: Panic attacks/disorders, Blood, Gaslighting 🌶️ Spice Save a horse and ride a cowboy indeed. “I followed my dreams, and they led me back to you.” The start of this book kept giving me second hand embarrassment so much that I almost didn’t think I could read it but I’m so glad I continued on. The family in this books series is truly everything I love them and this series so much. I want to go stay at Rebel Blue with all of these cowboys. I don’t think I’ve ever related more to a character than I did to Ada Hart, half the time she had me anxious as hell but her and Wes love for each other was everything. Such a soft and gentle love story perfect for right before the viciousness which Gus and Teddys story will undoubtedly bring. REREAD Ada and Wes my sweets 🥹🥹 I love them so much. On a reread this didn’t make me feel all the second hand embarrassment and anxiety I was feeling during my first read though, just all the love I have for these characters and this story.

I enjoyed this more than the first one in this series. I liked that the FMC was driven and independent, and the MMC understood and respected that. I am still not convinced that western contemps are really my thing, but I was semi into this and it was a fun short read. 🌶️ 3/5 The spice in this was also better than the first, loved how it started out with impulse and a kinda feral need, of course thats just how they get you! It picks up again later in the book, and was much better over audio than the last one.

this was pretty good, but I didn't like it as much as I did the first. the characters were slightly less interesting and I wanted more depth out of some of the plotlines (like the Baby Blue's reno & Ada's friendship with Emmy and Teddy). I still enjoyed it and will happily continue the series.
