God of Ruin
**This deluxe first-print edition will have sprayed edges.** From USA Today bestselling author Rina Kent comes the fourth in a dark and steamy college romance series featuring elite criminal families and morally gray heroes. Mia Solokov has one goal: ruin Landon King for messing with her family. But this sociopathic, genius artist might just ruin her instead.
I'm out for revenge. When Mia Sokolov, Mafia heiress and selective mute, successfully gives Landon King a taste of his own medicine, she discovers that her actions may have unwelcome consequences. Landon King is a genius artist, a posh rich boy, and Mia's nightmare.
Now, he's obsessed with her. He's never met someone with the same penchant for mischief as himself. But he realizes that beneath Mia's hard outer shell, she is struggling with something that is too horrible to say aloud.
Mia can't seem to shake Landon and finds herself increasingly attached to him, despite his seemingly constant ability to make her angry and his psychotic tendencies that always push her a bit too far. And as Landon gets closer to the truth about Mia's past, danger lurks just around the corner. Mia has learned to trust Landon...but will he protect her or ruin her?

4.5⭐ I never thought I would end up loving Landon, but that is exactly what happened. I loved Landon & Mia together and how his love for her made him a better person, at least towards her & his family. The back and forth between them was great. I loved how he learned sign language for her in just days. The amount he loves and wants her was heartwarming; he values her more than his art career and was willing to give that up even though, aside from her, that is the only calming influence of his need to create chaos. “My, my. You’re supposed to be a harmless tiny mouse, but you’re fast upgrading to a kitten with claws. Such a feisty little one.” “Lucky for you, I’m very well equipped to play the role of your villain. I will drag out your kinks one by each bloody one.” He’s the most unpredictable, lethal person I’ve ever come across, and that might or might not include the monster from my past. Your thoughts, your temper, and the very marrow of your existence belong to me now.” These lips are the only lips I want to be wrapped around my cock. This face is the only face I want to be marked with my cum. You think I would put all this effort into someone as difficult as you if you were only a side piece?” I’ll teach you the valuable lesson that, as long as I breathe, you are only mine to chase. Mine to own. Mine to fuck.” Mia speaks two words in her sleep and I’m ready to impregnate her with my fucking child so she’ll have no way out. Fuck. What was that thought all about? I don’t even know what the fuck I’m doing. For the first time in my life, I’m prioritizing someone else over my own schemes. Maybe, just maybe, I’m irrevocably bewitched by that soft voice and I refuse to believe that was the last time I’ll hear it. “I can’t have my muse injuring herself when she’s running,” he said while lifting my chin with his index finger. “The marks on your body can only be inflicted by me.” Remember, a future where you don’t belong to me doesn’t exist.” I’ve become categorically obsessed with Mia Sokolov. My mind has filtered the whole world out and all I see is her defiant face. In every corner. On every statue. Every-fucking-where. letting her go is not an option. Not in this lifetime or the next, or the twenty after. she makes me see sides of me I didn’t know existed before. Quench this fucking thirsty rage inside me.” His words sound sinister in my neck. “You’re the only one who knows how.” “What if I never change and continue being difficult and too much myself.” “That’s what I’m counting on. Don’t ever change. You’re perfect the way you are.” I don’t feel broken when I’m with Lan.” “In case it’s not clear yet, I care about you, and when it’s someone I care about, which is decidedly few and far between, I protect them.” “I still don’t understand. Are we in a relationship or are you just having your fun with me? Why would you care about me if…if you’re unable to feel love toward me?” “Who says I’m unable to love you?” “You couldn’t say it earlier.” “Because I don’t like to label what I feel for you as love. This”—he points between us—“is much more potent and twisted than mere love. If loving someone means letting them go and wishing them happiness with someone else, then I don’t subscribe to that definition. But if love means protecting and wanting to take care of you till my dying day, then I love you more than anyone has ever loved another human being.” There’s no way I’d let another woman have him. Not in this lifetime. I grab his face with both hands and whisper against his mouth, “I love you, Lan.” He inches closer until his lips nearly brush against mine. “And I love you, Mia. Forever.” You don’t complete me, you fill me up with your hope, determination, and constant nagging. But I digress. Only slightly, though.” I let my charming smile show through. “I used to believe I didn’t have a soul, but it turns out, I just needed you to fill it up. Now that I found you, I can’t and won’t live without you. Mia Sokolov, would you marry me?”
