“I’ve always felt like Sarah was taking on the world, while I was just struggling to live in it.” 💭 My thoughts Wow, this was a thrilling ride and such fun! I'm a sucker for a who-dunnit and all my theories and questions kept my eyes glued. It's been awhile since I've read a thriller that had me on the edge of my seat and completely surprised me. While there are a couple things that didn't make sense, I am willing to suspend my disbelief on some of it because this is fiction after all and it was enjoyable. All of the characters motives and personalities were questionable, everyone is indeed a suspect, but Jeneva has managed to make me question my morality, making me sympathize with certain characters while loathing others. Highly recommend this if you're looking for a fast-paced thrilling ride and popcorn worthy moments! ⚠️ Trigger warnings Graphic: Murder, Infidelity, Death Moderate: Sexual content, Death of parent, Alcohol Minor: Drug abuse, Addiction, Stalking [Follow my Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/inkstainedemotions?igsh=aTh6eTZ6dGwxMXpy&utm_source=qr)

Fuck… This was a boss bitch banger - 3.5 rounding up to 4 star. I was not expecting that end… I despised everything this MMC did, and at first I could like see ok fine thats not to bad, but he progressively pissed me off the more I read with his idiocy, ungrateful bullshit or just sheer desperation and tunnel vision to fuck everything up. Some things in this didnt make sense, how easy the cops gave up, the sloppy police work, and the reasonable doubt that was pretty clear, but you know what I respect this author for making this all work and keeping me guessing. Also dual POVs was really good, very much enjoyed this audio. This can be read as stand alone, but I do believe there is more to come... 🌶️ 1/5 Ok this had some spice scenes, its adult, not like sexy or whatever, and be mindful of trigger warnings (cheating) if you are not into that, its a pretty big part of the story - and thats not a spoiler, simply a warning, you learn that real early.

Sarah is a very successful lawyer, and her life is going great. But when her husband, Adam, a not-so-successful author, is arrested for murdering his mistress, Sarah steps in to defend him. This story was a roller coaster. I enjoyed it and was left questioning so many things throughout the story. I loved that I wasn't really able to predict things, and definitely not the ending.

This book was insanely good, I really enjoyed the twists and turns and am excited to read the sequel! The version I read included a bonus scene which was absolutely incredible and gave a really good extra insight into the story, and an excerpt from the next book.

There were a lot of things that didn’t sit right with me in this one, but nothing was worse than the ending. I don’t know about y’all, but I am so over the “unreliable narrator” twist. It’s the same thing that ruined Never Lie for me... just give me an actual mystery or thriller, not the whole “Oh, it was me all along, but I’m going to act completely clueless and innocent the entire time” nonsense. I was rooting for the killer to be Matthew, or even Anne, because at least that would’ve made some sense. But Sarah?! Absolutely not. I will never forgive Jeneva Rose for this one. lol Also, girlie really needs a better editor. Two stars, and that’s me being generous.
