Say You'll Remember Me
The instant #1 New York Times bestseller!
“No one does funny, emotional, life-affirming love stories quite like Abby Jimenez. She just keeps outdoing herself." ―Emily Henry
There's no such thing as a perfect guy, but Xavier Rush comes disastrously close. A gorgeous veterinarian giving Greek god vibes—all while cuddling a tiny kitten? Immediate yes. That is until Xavier opens his mouth and proves that even sculpted gods can say the absolute wrong thing. Like, really wrong. Of course, there’s nothing Samantha loves more than proving an a*****e wrong ... unless, of course, he can admit he made a mistake.
But after one incredible and seemingly endless date, Samantha is forced to admit the truth, that her family is in crisis and any kind of relationship would be impossible. Samantha begs Xavier to forget her. To remember their night together as a perfect moment, as crushing as that may be. Only no amount of distance or time is enough to forget what's between them. And the only thing better than one single perfect memory is to make a life—and even a love—worth remembering.

“Some things are worth remembering, Samantha. No matter how much they hurt.” ~ 6 ⭐️ I fear that I will never recover from this book. Abby has outdone herself. I don’t know what kind of magic she puts into these books. I immediately fell in love with both Xavier and Samantha from the very start. I fell in love with Xavier on the very first page. He is the definition of if he wanted to he would. Her books always have an underlying sadness to them and such a realness. It’s one of the things that makes me connect to the characters so much. I cried multiple times throughout this one and was full on sobbing during the last couple of chapters. I actually liked the time jumps in between them seeing each other because it really represented how they essentially put their lives on hold until they could be together again. They both worked and Samantha took care of her mom but they really weren’t living during the times they were apart. It was so emotionally taxing on both of them, but they loved each other so much that they couldn’t fathom not being together even if that meant they had to be apart. This was one of the best but most emotionally devastating books I have ever read. I swear as I was reading this book it was engraving itself on my soul. 🌶️1/5 Closed door, but also where would they even fit in spice with all this sadness.

*❝ But the small memories are the fabric of your life, the ones so inconsequential that you don’t even remember them. You just remember how you felt when you were making them. ❞* ❥ My thoughts Abby knows how to jerk on your heart-strings. While this wasn't my favorite book of hers, it was still a really great book with some beautiful, yet heart-breaking take-a-ways. At times, I became a bit bored with both Samantha and Xavier's repetitive inner-monologues which is why it's getting 4 stars from me. However, I love how realistically they were written and their love story felt real to me even if it was a little insta-love. Yes, their love was bound through trauma but honestly, who doesn't bond through trauma? Who makes it out of this life without scars? Physical, emotional, or otherwise. This book really touches on that point; that life can can be a series of tragedies, but when you find your people who ease your pain, even the tragedies are worth remembering. Highly recommend this read when you're in a good headspace as this is a read filled with a lot of triggering topics. Beautiful, but heart-breaking topics. ❥ Trigger warnings Graphic: Dementia, Animal cruelty, Grief Moderate: Child abuse, Death, Emotional abuse Minor: Animal death, Alcoholism, Infidelity [Follow my Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/inkstainedemotions?igsh=aTh6eTZ6dGwxMXpy&utm_source=qr)

Say You’ll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez This book is so so good. Abby is so good at capturing emotions and truly making the reader feel what the characters are feeling or struggling with. It definitely tugged at my heart strings, as I related to this book in many ways. It was all actuate to how I have felt in these situations and described so beautifully. I especially enjoyed the book showing how wonderful, but hard a long distance relationship can be. How things can work out one minute and then the universe is like “not today”. Being there for one another, but not always being able to be there physically. It really proves that communication is key. Which I think Samantha and Xavier really showed. They also showed if you really love someone you can put in the hard work and make it happen, that it will all be worth it in the end. This book has the perfect amount of humour to help balance out the sadness and reality of life. It also covers some very heavy and serious topics in a beautiful way, it was done very well. It showed the fun and wonderful sides of being a family and the more difficult sides. I enjoyed the characters in this book as they were flawed, but grew as the book went on. They learned from their mistakes and learned to better communicate. And all the animals are a definite bonus. I would definitely recommend!

Come on Eileen! What a fucking roller coaster of feels! I was not prepared… Im still not, even after its over. I kinda feel like this book has given me PTSD, it has certainly triggered a few things in me. I was not expecting this to be SO intense, it felt like every chapter something insanely happy was followed up with something incredibly painful and at times I felt some of this was so unnecessary, but it was happening, I mean I get the need for drama but damn Abby, do you even like your characters?? Fine you got me, I laughed, I teared up, this was very intense and I struggled to put it down. So much heartbreak and heavy subjects, I have a lot of highlights in this, it hit so hard so many times and I am not sure if its going to be a favorite of mine for this author, but I do feel like it will be the most memorable. 🌶️ 1/5 – Long distance relationship, not a lot of spice, the chemistry - I know a lot of people said they dislike the insta thing and its usually not my jam either BUT I felt like this was done right, without the 3rd act break up. For anyone whos ever met someone and needed more, longed for more even after just one encounter, those people will see that here. I was very much invested in these MCs and feel like it felt realistic, even if it was halfway a trauma bond experience. 📚 Reading Between the Vines: 📚 Click Here to Join a Fun Discord Book Club

Wow. Just... wow. It's not often I'm left speechless about a book, but Say You'll Remember Me has turned me into a blubbering mess of human and simultaneously healed the cracks it put in my heart. It was so easy to fall in love with these characters, to empathize with their situations, to be heartbroken when they were faced with another hurdle. And then a page later, you couldn't help but feel your heart was healing when something happened to reignite your faith in humanity. I was on the edge of my seat from start to finish because all I wanted was for these characters to experience the joy they deserved, but I knew it would be a struggle. I don't think I've ever highlighted in an ebook as much as I did with this one. Once a chapter, Abby was spoiling us with gorgeous quotes about love and loss (and of course, her trademark humor). They made me feel seen, in a way where I know I couldn't have put it better myself. Was this book perfect? No. I would have loved another 50 pages just to further develop side plots and characters. There also came a point where it felt like bad things were just being dumped on the characters for unnecessary conflict, but it didn't even take away my enjoyment because it was near-perfect in every other way. Suffice it to say, I adored this story. It is hands-down my favorite of Abby Jimenez's to date. This book is a masterpiece about love in all forms it takes, and I already want to read it again. *Thanks to NetGalley and Forever Publishing for the ARC of this book.
