Please don't come for me. I really wanted to like this, especially after Legendborn pulled me in with such a fresh take on the whole Arthurian retellings. The dialogue between Bree and literally everyone around her often felt extremely abrasive, and instead of showing growth, it made it harder for me to root for her. Her decision at the end left me more frustrated than invested unfortunately. There were definitely powerful moments and themes I appreciated, but they got buried under the weight of everything else. I still admire the ambition and unique spin this brought, but ultimately this sequel wasn't it for me.
