4.5-5 ⭐️ “I’ll want you until the day I die.” “I’ll want you even in death, Sellah. There’s no afterlife, but that doesn’t matter. I’ll love you until I’m dead in the dirt, then I’ll love you until my body is nothing but bones. And when my bones fade to dust coating the earth, I’ll still want you.” ~ I LOVED this. I don’t even know where to start on this review which is why I’ve been putting it off. This book felt like a mixture of Assassin’s blade and Once Dark Window in the best way possible while also being its own thing. The love that these main characters had for each other was so beautiful and superseded death. I loved getting to see the story told in past and present and being able to see the growth of the main character. She truly changed and grew so much and it was both amazing and heartbreaking to go along her journey with her. This world was also incredible, I would love a full series all about the gods in this book. I’ll never have enough honestly I want to know everything. 2/5 🌶️

We're thrown into this heart-wrenching story as Sellah goes on her impossible journey to find her love's severed pieces. From that point on, the chapters ebb and flow in a cycle of beginning meets end, end meets beginning. Although you are completely aware of the rising climax in both the past and present, it still guts you. I love that the author chose to write the story in this way. It truly makes you feel as the characters do; defeated and forsaken. Even the obscurity of the story in the beginning brought this forsaken, god-opressed world we find ourselves in to life. The hype with this one is real, read it, fall in love with it, let it break your heart and shatter your soul while you desperately try to pick up the pieces and put them back together like a shattered vase... Ok that was intense, much like this book was, it grabbed ahold and would not let go. I feel like I will be thinking about this one for a long time, it was the right amount of I will walk through hell for you and if anyone wanted to, they fucking would. 🌶️ 3/5 These characters, they were so passionately, utterly and hopelessly driven by each other it was so well done, and the narrator really amped it up to 10,000. This and their love, it's feral and has something that gnaws at you in every chapter, theres so much intensity and feelings that are pushed into and come out of pain that drives these MCs actions... It felt like life or death with every page turn.

4.5 ⭐️This was such a wholesome and unique standalone fantasy romance!! I find standalone fantasy books hard to enjoy but this was really well done. The emotion and love in this book was so apparent while reading. It had quite of bit of action as well. I recommend this to anyone who likes fantasy romance but wants something quick and fun!
