I really enjoyed this one. Rina Kent once again had me fully invested in Sasha and Kirill’s chaos, because the tension between these two is just so ridiculously good. The emotional pull, the longing, the constant push and pull between them? I ate it up every single time. I also loved seeing more of the bigger picture unfold. Even though I had my suspicions about Anton from pretty early on, I was still completely invested in seeing how everything would come together. To be fair, I had narrowed Anton down to either Yuri or Maksim, with Yuri being my main suspect. So when the reveal happened my reaction was mostly: “Aha! My detective skills remain intact.” Unfortunately, Rina Kent then decided to humble me immediately afterwards. Because WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK was the rest of that ending? I was feeling very proud of myself for figuring out one thing, only for the book to proceed to throw approximately seventeen other revelations at me in rapid succession. Extremely rude. But also incredibly entertaining. Overall, I had a great time with this book. The tension was tensioning, the stakes felt high, and even though I managed to predict one reveal, the ending still left me staring at the page wondering what on earth had just happened. A very solid 4-star read, and yes, despite predicting one thing, I still ate it up. No crumbs left
