After two books of tension, secrets, betrayals, emotional damage, and repeatedly asking myself “Can these people please catch a break?”, Heart of My Monster delivered exactly what I wanted: chaos, plot, romance, and a payoff that actually felt earned. And honestly? I loved every second of it. The plot was genuinely good. There was enough action and suspense to keep things moving, enough reveals to keep me invested, and enough danger to remind me that Rina Kent still enjoys keeping readers mildly stressed at all times. Kirill and Sasha have spent an entire trilogy putting themselves, each other, and me through the emotional wringer, so seeing their story finally come together was incredibly satisfying. What I especially appreciated was that this actually felt like a conclusion. So many trilogies stumble at the finish line, but this one stuck the landing. The plot threads were tied together nicely, the emotional moments hit exactly where they needed to, and by the end I was just sitting there thinking, Yes. This is exactly what I signed up for. Overall, this was a fantastic ending to the trilogy. The plot delivered, the love story somehow delivered even harder, and I closed the book feeling both satisfied and slightly offended that I now have to find another couple to obsess over.
