I really enjoyed this so much. At this rate anything that VE Schwab writes I am going to absolutely devour. This was definitely a different feel than any of her other stuff with a younger audience intended. But I still read it all and one sitting and was constant excited to see what was going to happen next. If I had of known and read this when I was younger I just know it would have been a favourite of mine. I will be continuing the series because she truly never misses.

I’d give City of Ghosts a solid 3.5 stars. While I didn’t enjoy it quite as much as some of VE’s other works, it’s a well crafted story clearly aimed at a younger audience. It has a fun eerie vibe, and the pacing is quick and engaging. I’m not rushing to continue the series for now, but I did enjoy how short and easy to follow it was and I might come back to it at some point. This is a great intro to spooky reads for younger fantasy fans!
