  I liked the story, but it was a bit too quirky & silly for me. The MMC was too over the top goofy for me. Fangboner..... I did find it amusing that when Zavier broke into Celine's apartment, he cleaned and organized it for her. Midnight, who was rather mean to Celine, absolutely adores Zavier. Zavier does instantly fall in love with Celine and stalks her just to watch over her. He is utterly devoted to her, which is kind of cute. Zavier was a lot but he was also really sweet, considerate, and caring towards Celine. I wish the villain suffered more for her misdeeds. I will be reading the next book soon since I am interested in Valen's story. Pulling my trusty notebook and pen out of my pocket I lick my finger and flip it open to a new page. Quickly scribbling, Breed Celine, under a new list titled Goals in my long life with Celine. Besides, even though vampires can have children, it’s rare which means if she wants them, we’re going to be doing a whole lot of practicing. I rub my hands together in excited glee. I’m never going to meet someone if I don’t get out. It’s not like my knight in shining armor is just going to burst through my door and cuddle up on the couch with me and that be that. - In this case, that is kind of what happens lol Did I sneak into her apartment to get a pep talk from my hype kitty? Absolutely. Midnight is my best friend. I just can’t let Tom find out or his feelings will be hurt. I don’t want to take Celine to bed until I tell her we’re mates and what I am. It feels wrong to take that step with her without her knowing the full extent of our connection. I might be a lot of things; killer, stalker, psychopath—but I won’t take advantage of my mate like that. “I’d rather die than hurt you.” “Please don’t think you’re a burden. You’re a light in my life.” A small stroke on the top of my hand. “Well, Midnight comes first and then you.” He winks and I purse my lips. You are the most stunning, intelligent, kind creature I’ve ever crossed paths with, and I worship the ground you walk on.” She probably doesn’t realize it, but there will never come a time when I tire of her. She is the single, most important thing, in my immortal life. She cups my cheeks in her hands. “Don’t worry, I’ll love you enough to make up for every time you felt unloved.”
