Brood
For years, I’ve been waiting to turn twenty-one so I can marry, start breeding, and contribute to life in our bunker, but just before my spousal ceremony the council makes a change. Instead of marrying the boy who’s always been my best friend, I’m expected to marry Will instead. Will is a stranger—gruff, intimidating and fifteen years older than me.
I’ll do my duty no matter what, but I really don’t want to marry and breed with him.

What happens when the world ends and everyone you know has been living in a bunker for decades... This reminded me of the silo series (less in depth but similar world vibe) and while i dont usually care for a prego trope i dont feel like this was that exactly, population numbers are down and people are trying to get them back up. Plot was good and not repetitive, and I like how the MCs grew to like each other. Audio book was top notch and over this was a fun short scifi/romance read. 🌶️4/5 tbf this is about a society trying to get people to breed so yea lots of spice, but not overdone and had a feeling of growth (pun intended hehe) with the MCs.
