No, just no. All in the first chapter there is; -a suicide joke (it's a drama class final, you'll be fine) -the Me Too movement being used in a joke (again, it's a drama class final, not gender based harassment) - the FMC internal dialoguing about the MMC likening him to traits found in dogs After the first chapter, it's fine and honestly reads like a totally different person wrote it. I'm not sure what happened between chapter one and the rest of the novella but it really set the tone and not in a good way.

I did not love this one. The first chapter was so cringy for me I put the book down multiple times. It do end up getting better but there’s just some things I couldn’t buy into and the writing wasn’t for me. Solidly meh.

Cute lil second chance romance. Narration was great, and there were some fun laugh out loud moments. I enjoyed the later in life post college life, where it starts is not where it ends which made it feel like more than a novella, but also satisfactory when it ends.
