Okay, so I finished this over a week ago and neglected to write a review. Whoops. Anyways, I have complicated thoughts on this one. I enjoyed 99% of the book, but there was one scene in here that I really couldn't get over, and really messed me up mentally for a few days. There's a lot of stuff in books I can handle, but I've apparently found my limit now. Other than that, I really did enjoy the premise of this book. It reminded me a lot of Criminal Minds, and for that fact alone I really enjoy it. I also liked how it ended. I couldn't have thought of a better one for it. So, overall, it was a 3/5 for me.

WOW this book was for sure not what I had expected it to be when I picked it up. I have buddy read this book in a little group of friends and I did not bring it in as a suggestion. I had never heard of this book nor any clue what it was about. To say I was shocked, grossed out, and disgusted by the story is an understatement. This book is not for everyone, check the trigger warnings before you start. It is very dark, twisted and disturbing. But my gosh this book is written so incredibly well. The way Dot has gone about writing the interrogation proces is phenomenal... I have truly never read something so unique and I loved it. This book held me in a chokehold and once I started reading, time did not exist. Maya is SUCH an interesting character and you will love her. I don't want to write too much about this book because it will spoiler a lot. Just please check your trigger warnings and once you are sure of that, please go read it!
