EDIT: Not much to add this time. Still the same rating. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EDIT: Ow. It hurt more this time than the last one. I’m in pain. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EDIT: I'm still completely speechless and I have literally no words for this book. I'm still as in love with it as I was last year. 5 stars and Hall of Fame shelf. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This series has been with me for almost two years now. I’m sad that it’s over, but it feels nice to have finished it. This series means so much to me. It was one of the few series I’ve read with my mom, and one we both enjoyed. Everything about this book.. I loved it. The characters, the setting, the plot.. I loved it all. I think this series will be one I keep with me forever. Aelin will forever hold a place in my heart that won’t ever be taken away. Thank you, Sarah J. Maas, for writing such an amazing book series. This book broke me in unimaginable ways, but I loved it regardless. It goes without saying that this book gets 5/5 stars, and a spot on the Hall of Fame shelf.

6⭐️ Absolutely the most incredible book I have ever read and I’m not sure if I’ll ever recover from reading it. I cried so much, I finished 4 hours ago, but just cry when I think about it, so I put off updating my goodreads. SPOILERS BELOW The moment that made me realise I’d never ever read a book quite as beautiful as this one, was the blood oath scene between Fenrys and Aelin. I didn’t really care for Fenrys much before this book, but my heart absolutely shattered after everything he did for Aelin. The writing was so incredibly powerful that even the happy moments had me crying. The ending for Elide and Lorcan “Ask me to marry you.” 🥹 It’s been a week and I’m still not over this 😭

What an EPIC finally to a whirlwind of a series. I will admit this was one the most daunting series I have ever read, the books are long, and its a LOT - but, I really enjoyed it. I laughed, I teared up, some parts I fell asleep from mere exhaustion of reading, I had SO many different emotions on this roller coaster journey. There was character growth, and trauma, and banter, I hated characters, then fell in love with them, and some repeated that process a few times, this series really had a little bit of everything and I’m really glad i read it. 🌶️ 2/5 So, yes theres some spice, its not super detailed, but its flirty and sweet in all the right ways. There were times where it felt like such a tease, like just do it already! But the pacing was cute and fit the characters/story well.

“Once upon a time, in a land long since burned to ash, there lived a young princess who loved her kingdom . . . very much.” What an incredible adventure that was. These characters, Aelin alone, have undergone so many challenges and incredible growth and I feel like I have grown with them. I have laughed and cried so many times, but in the end, I am so satisfied with this story’s outcome. So many questions have finally answered, though new ones have taken form. And yet, there is hope. There is tomorrow. There is such a powerful message of perseverance, of healing, of overcoming all odds that make these books ones that I can easily see myself returning to them again.

I think I was alternating between sobbing and laughing for the majority of this book. 100 stars
