EDIT: Still hurt. I doubt it'll ever change. Still loved this one though. 5/5 stars from me. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ *EDIT:* Okay that hurt. Big owie. Still loved it though, and it's still 5/5 stars for me. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Oh wow, okay here we go. This book is my third favorite in the whole series. I genuinely loved this book. I think the plot was very well written and it just makes me happy. I’ve only read this twice (this being the second time), but it’s as good, if not better, as I remember it being. I liked how Harry was written in this book. It showed how vulnerable he can be sometimes, and I think it’s important when a book does that. I also loved Charlie and Bill. I liked how Molly didn’t lash out at Sirius when he transformed from the dog back to himself in front of her. I also loved the twins in this book. Some of the things Molly said about them didn’t sit right with me at all. I really love the fact that she makes Harry feel welcomed in the family, and I think he really needs that. Especially in the next book. I ended up crying around three times while reading this. After growing more attached to the marauders, it hurt more reading about James and Lily coming out of Voldemort’s wand to get Harry away from him. I’ve also gotten a stronger attachment to Cedric recently, and that made it hurt me even more. Overall, I rate this book 5/5 stars, and I’ll eventually read it again.

2013 I've read this numerous times. Currently reading the series again on my Kindle Fire classic. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire 5★ I own hard and paperback books. Rereading series because it's available to loan for kindle and other ebook format on overdrive.com I didn't dive into these books when it was first released. I actually started reading them after this book was published. My youngest sister encouraged me to read them. She actually begged for me to read them just so she can have someone to talk to about them. So being a good big sis to her, I succumbed. And now, no thanks to lil sis, I'm addicted to this. Since then, I've reread this series about 4 times counting now. But this time, I've been adding notes to the ebook. Goblet of Fire is a good book. I found a lot of discrepancies between book and movie. But I like both about the same.

*☆5 stars☆* It’s Harry’s fourth year at Hogwarts and, unlike previous years, the school is hosting the long-discontinued Triwizard Tournament. The competition is only meant for sixth years, so naturally Harry’s name ends up in the Goblet of Fire. Coincidence? I should think not, Potter. This was such a fun read—and yes, I absolutely listened to the graphic audio while following along in my physical copy. I know that probably made the experience even more enjoyable, but it doesn’t change the fact that these stories are always worth revisiting. The movies stay pretty true to the books, but the deeper I get into the series, the more I notice just how much lore the films left out. As someone who lives for hidden lore and little world-building details, I’m absolutely eating it up. Several characters also get more time to shine in the books—Hermione especially, which I love. She’s constantly the voice of reason for Harry and Ron. Part of me feels a little bad for her having to keep those two in line… but honestly, someone has to. We’re also introduced to Mad Eye Moody, along with a handful of other new characters. Mad Eye quickly became my favorite, and the mystery surrounding him left me wishing there was an entire book devoted just to his story. One thing I love about the Harry Potter series is how each book brings a new mystery and new challenges, yet the vibe always feels perfectly on point. Highly recommend the full-cast graphic audios if you have had trouble getting into the series in the past. New mysteries, new favorites, and still completely under Hogwarts’ spell. As I get farther along in the series there is more and more things that occur in the books that I don’t remember from the movies. I love that after all this time there are still new things I can learn. A lot in particular in this book are things I know from being often referenced in fanfiction but not in the movies so it’s fun seeing where those moments come from. This book definitely had me tearing up at a couple different moments.

So I started this series when I was a kid, and read the first 2, then this one twice (halfway through - never finished), I also didnt realize at the time I completely skipped book 3 and probably why I kept putting it down lol so finally as an adult I am reading it. The graphic audio is really awesome highly recommend for someone wanting that full immersive story.
