OMG I LOVE LEVI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4/5 ⭐ 4/5 🌶️ 💘 Tropes - Mutual pining - Slow burn - Witty banter 📖 My Thoughts I didn’t enjoy this one as much as her books. The plot wasn't something I was really interested in. At times, I felt confused because of the context of the main characters careers. The main character Bee felt a little childish at times. Regardless, I am forever giving Ali 4 stars because she always creates characters that make me smile and the romance is always so yummy! Ali's writing always feel relatable even if the characters aren't similar to me or the plot isn't something I typically care for. ⚠️ Triggers - Alcohol - Animal death (roadkill) - Attempted murder - Car accident (fatal, past) - Cheating - Death (parents, grandparent, spouse, all off-page) - Gun violence - Misogyny - Sexism - Sexually explicit scenes 🌶️ Spice As always, I enjoy the spice in Ali's books. They are always well-balanced within the plot and fit with the mood of each character. Her quirky and nerdy women are always so endearing even at times awkward. I love that about them though. They aren't super-models; she gives sex appeal to their quirky qualities and the men are always so into that.

Once again I’m flying through yet another Hazelwood romcom. The Twitter thing was a little predictable, but i live for shit like this honestly. From hate to love is also my jam… I also loved the assistant of the FMC, she was so funny and creepy in all the right ways lol. I loved the wit and banter - yes the MMC was “also” big and bulky and a sciency nerd (just like the other book of hers ive read, and im no genius, but pattern? hmmm yea), BUT i dont care, characters look however i want them to when i read (hello Azriel…). I do have a peeve tho.. shes a scientist, but also a vegan, yet she cant cook?? Living a vegan lifestyle is not easy, I cant image she lives off of some kind of vegan lean cuisines… every day… 🌶️ 3/5 I may need her sisters story too since shes a “seasoned pegger” lol the spice was good, bit of a slow burn, but worth the wait. I didn’t really like how delusional the fmc was about her feelings for the mmc, but it was true to her character in s sense and the trauma she had gone through.

This was a cute, cheesy read, and absolutely full of clichés that I loved. I really like Ali Hazelwood’s writing style because it’s so lively and humorous, with awkward FMCs that don’t border too much on that Disney princess millennial quirkiness. The love interest was fun, but in terms of Hazelwood’s MMCs, I don’t think anyone can compete with Jack Turner in my eyes. Idk, I just thought Bee and Levi’s spicy scenes were kind of…vanilla? Idk. Overall, I had a fun time with this, but I also predicted a few things early on—Guy pulling a gun, though? THAT was a shock!

Bee becomes the go-lead on research team with NASA. She finds out that the man that has hated her since the moment they met, Levi Ward, is her co-lead on the project. She relocates to Houston for said project and meets with the team. After run ins and other situations, Bee confronts Levi about things regarding the project. Afterwards, they find a common ground only to begin to spend more and more time together. There was a surprising twist that I definitely did not see coming. This was a great listen and I really enjoyed it.
