Actual Rating: 3.5 ⭐️ This is the perfect cute, low-stakes witchy romance. It’s a quick read and leaves you wanting to read the rest and see the other brothers fall for the Jones’ girls.

This book was the perfect thing to get me into the witchy spooky season mood. It was very cute and sweet and had me giggling to myself from the first chapter. Set in a small town reminiscent of Halloween town and stars hallow that just made me wish I could pack up and move there myself. Can’t wait to pick up the next books.

4/5 ⭐ 4/5 🌶️ Tropes - No Third Act Breakup - Witty banter - Mutual Pining 📖My Thoughts Omg this was so CUTE! It's like a grown-up sexy version of Halloweentown and Sabrina the Teenage Witch. The tension between the characters was so good and I loved the small-town lore and all the witty banter. Can I work at Something Wicked please? Also, Sir Purrcivall is lowkey the best character. ⚠️Triggers This book was so light-hearted and fun with some minor triggers. Triggers include alcohol use, profanity, and sexually explicit scenes. 🌶️Spice The spice in this was soooo good. I loved that we had enough buildup and tension between the characters, so when the spice hit, you were so ready for it! To be honest, the main characters were having sex nonstop (no complaints) but it was well written and not over the top or annoying.

This was an adorably cozy start to my spooky season reads. What a cute story! I loved the small "halloween town" vibes, family dynamics, and the quirky cat cameos had me cackling. This is a stand alone in a series, but I would be interested in checking out other books in this world. 🌶️ 3.5/5 O.o The tension and spice was pretty hot. I really felt the magnetic pull between these MCs. The love/hate was a lot of fun and the burn to spice was just the right amount imo.

Spice level: 🌶️ 🌶️ This book gave me total Practical Magic vibes! It’s cozy, cute, funny, and has a good amount of spice. The second-chance romance between Vivienne and Rhys was absolutely adorable. A perfect palate cleanser after some of the heavier or less enjoyable books I've read recently. I loved it so much and will definitely be reading the rest of the series!

3.25 ⭐ I really wanted to love The Ex Hex, and it definitely had its adorable moments! However, I found Rhys's dialogue a bit strange at times. For a Welsh character, his way of speaking didn't really reflect that, which was a little distracting. Also, the way everything wrapped up felt a little too quick and easy. It was cute, but I wished some aspects had been more fleshed out.
