Sparks fly when a competitive figure skater and a hockey team captain are forced to share a rink in this TikTok sensation that is perfect for fans of hockey romances like Heated Rivalry.
Anastasia Allen has worked her entire life for a shot at Team USA. It looks like everything is going according to plan when she gets a full scholarship to the University of California, Maple Hills and lands a place on their competitive figure skating team.
Nothing will stand in her way, not even the captain of the hockey team, Nate Hawkins.
Nate’s focus as team captain is on keeping his team on the ice. Which is tricky when a facilities mishap means they are forced to share a rink with the figure skating team—including Anastasia, who clearly can’t stand him.
But when Anastasia’s skating partner faces an uncertain future, she may have to look to Nate to take her shot.
Sparks fly, but Anastasia isn’t worried…because she could never like a hockey player, right?

I loved this book, oh my God. This is probably one of the best books I’ve read so far this year, and I loved it so much. I don’t really even have the words to describe this book, and the emotions I felt while reading it. Nate Hawkins is my new favorite book boyfriend. I love him so much, it’s insane. I LOVED ANASTASIA!! She deserves everything, and I love her. I’m not even going to talk about Aaron because it’ll just make me upset ☺️. I loved this book. It’s definitely one of my favorites that I’ve ever read. Overall, I give this book 5/5 stars, but I don’t think I’ll read it again.

Icebreaker delivers a mix of drama, romance, and sports tension that keeps the pages turning. Nathan Hawkins is the standout character; his loyalty, protectiveness, and genuine care for both Anastasia and his team make him easy to love from the start. Anastasia, on the other hand, takes a little longer to connect with, but her emotional intelligence and strong-willed nature add depth to her character. Watching their relationship blossom was amazing, and the drama kept me hooked. My only critique? The spice level felt a bit excessive for the book’s length. Trimming some of those scenes might have made the story even stronger. Overall, a solid 4-star read with plenty of heart, heat, and hockey!
