Thank you to the author Eileen Rosemore for an advance copy! This book was dramatic, fun and mysterious. I love books with fantasy, the regency era and romance. It started off with lots of drama but switched into a fantastical trial to help multiple worlds. Iris she is determined and I love how willing and strong she is. I also love how she works with Sunny to problem solve instead of doing things the traditional ways, that clearly have not be working. Sunny is cute and well - Sunny. He is happy and helpful. Their romance is very sweet. Whereas Ourelio is more aloof, even if he is trying to be king he doesn’t seem quite as serious as Iris. It is a complicated love triangle and it made everything more interesting. I also loved the trio of Iris, Sunny and Beam. They made a good group of friends dealing with an interesting situation, and making the best of it. I enjoyed the time jumps/dreams showing the past and what was going on with Astromeda and Anne before the curse was placed. The writing and dialogue of the ministers truly made me dislike them. It really reflects on our current world, and the whole “the rich get richer” and hurting the poor, while only thinking of and benefiting themselves. Overall, I did find some of the plot points predictable, but it made the story more fun and joyful than super serious. It definitely made me laugh and I truly enjoyed the book, plot and characters. And the ending was so sweet.
