Broken Hearts
Sage Harris never had much of a relationship with her father, but an unexpected phone call changes everything. Returning to Hawaii, a place she hasn't been in ten years, forces her to confront a past she's avoided for so long.
Nate Peterson has gorgeous brown eyes, a surfer's body and a rough exterior that is certainly far from welcoming. The sooner he can get rid of this unexpected visitor, the better.
However, fate doesn't seem to care that Sage and Nate want their comfortable lives back. Instead, they're forced to deal with each other, realizing they might have more in common than they care to admit. Each day that passes, they're brought closer together, leading to something more. But it's Sage's plan for the future that could break both their hearts.

When she gets a call that her estranged father has passed, Sage is unsure what to do. Her mom encourages her to go visit Maui, where he's lived, and get to know him. At first, Sage is unsure about everything and worries about how things will go when she gets there. When she is greeted with a grumpy, Nate, and sunshine-y Alana, she is even more unsure if this is the right thing to do. Alana helps welcome her, and she slowly gets to know the man her father was and falls in love with the island and Nate. I absolutely loved this story. I cried and laughed and just felt so many feelings reading this story. I loved seeing how Nate and Sage grew closer and realized that they were meant to be together. Claire Raye always brings emotion and well-deserved love, and this was absolutely no different. Received an ARC and give my honest review
