When Calvin's grandfather dies, he is left his bookstore in Big Sur, California. He must make a decision: either keep the failing bookstore and find a way to bring it back to its former glory, or sell it to developers. When a photo shoot is set up at the bookstore, Calvin must show the models and crew around the area that he once loved as a child. Lucia is a supermodel, living her best life. She finds herself intrigued by both the bookstore and its new owner. Then, when a huge storm rolls through, everyone is stuck, and Calvin and Lucia end up spending the time getting to know each other. They know their time is limited, as Lucia will be heading home soon, but they agree to enjoy what little they have. This was a great story. I loved the internal struggle that Calvin went through to determine what to do about the bookstore. I also loved that he helped push her to follow her true dreams and write again.
