“My relationship is my business. My uterus is my business. So please stop acting as if you own me.” Ozroth is the purest cinnamon roll ever and I adore him so much he made this book, and honestly I’m not sure Mariel deserves him. The book started off strong but by the end I was just constantly annoyed by the main character and it ruined the end of the book for me. Overall I am always a sucker for a cute magical small town romance so I will read the others in this series and see if I like them better. It was good but after the other cozy fall romances I read this month it unfortunately did not live up.

This was cute, I love a good spooky season romcom, it wasn’t as funny as I’d hoped, but still enjoyed it. Something I did not care for was how dumb these characters were near the end, like how do you not see this? But I guess it’s true to who they are, both constantly beat down and manipulated by people who were supposed to care for them. It's hard to see past that toxic type of trauma and not jump to conclusions idiotically… Some of the names in this were too similar, Mariel and Miras… Alzapraz & Astaroth… Dianthus & Diantha… its hard enough to pronounce some of these but why complicate it? The parents in this (mainly the moms)... woof... so fucking awful... 🌶️ 2/5 Spice was not bad. The constant interruption early on was like a bucket of ice water dropping lol but it worked for the flow of build up.

Four stars only because some of the drama was rather juvenile at times; otherwise a great book.
